We own 7 wooded acres northwest of the Traverse City,Michigan area. With a driveway of over 550 feet.We will be moving up there next spring and are starting the search for a compact tractor. I started out looking at sub-compacts being Wheelhorse, Simplicity, Gravely, Cub. I then came across the Kubota BX2200 4WD. It looked like the machine for me. So that led me to the Kubota B2410.which looks like it would fit into our situation. Implements I would need are front end loader (for escavating for a pole buildig &creating a path approx. 2000 feet long in our woods, creating a 3 high foot by 150 foot long burm along our front road and the managing our woods (for health and firewood), snow blower 2 stage and grade rake. One of my brothers in-law stated that I should only go with the HS trans which makes sense to me. My question is, Is the B2410 enough for our tasks (present and future)? Another neighbor mentioned the Kioti LK3054 for more h.p. stating that you can never have enough. To me the Kubota looks like a better machine. Sorry for the wordy querry.

For the tasks you have outlined the 2410 will do just fine. It will push, pull and dig as good as anything. Extra horsepower might be necessary if you are running large cutters or bailing hay. Match your PTO horsepower ratings to any needs like that. For basic tractoring needs you are on the right track. ....

I WOULD GO WITH THE KIOTI,MY FRIEND HAS THE BX2200 AND I HAVE THE LK3054, TO ME THIS IS LIKE COMPARING A S-10 PICK-UP WITH A FULL SIZE CREW CAB. WE BOTH PAID THE SAME FOR OUR TRACTORS BUT I GOT 10 HP AND ANOTHER 1400 POUNDS. THIS KIOTI HAS BEEN A WORKHORSE SO FAR. ....
